MEET THE COHORT
Charles Olafare & Josie Finlay,
AMVBBDO
We're Josie and Charles, a creative team from AMV. We first met in a garden, which is fitting given this brief is all about connecting people with nature.
Charles' favourite of the four physical elements is earth, because a family of foxes lives under this garden shed. His least favourite is water, because the taps in his house run too loudly.
Josie's favourite of the four physical elements is water because she is fascinated by frogs and loves swimming in the sea. Her least favourite is fire because it makes her hair smell.
We're both chuffed to be taking part in a project that wants to do some good and bring people closer to the natural world around them. Plus they let us wear these snazzy binoculars. Hopefully they let us keep them.
Ellie Keyes & Chip McCoy,
Droga5
We are Ellie and Chip, a creative team at Droga5. We’re beyond excited to join the Agency for Nature fresh off the back of another big sustainability brief earlier this year. We can’t wait to roll up our sleeves and make sure the advertising industry not only promotes but also protects our beautiful planet. Hopefully, all Mother Nature really needs is a new hashtag or some headlines and that will be that!
Jake Wiseman & James Ginn,
VCCP
We’re a creative duo who’ve been at VCCP for the past three years and have been working together since graduating from the University of Lincoln in 2019.
With Jake being from Norfolk and James Essex, living in London has made us appreciate spending time in nature even more.
Whether it’s a park run, making jam from homegrown chillies (humble brag), hiking in the lake district (humble brag) or going for a more casual weekend walk (humble), we both love the outdoors and we’re excited to get other people feeling the same way!
Nicole Vanner & Andrew Hadley,
Iris
Meet Nicole and Andrew, a dynamic creative duo at Iris. Nicole, an illustrator and designer with a knack for blending traditional and digital artistry, teams up with Andrew, a seasoned copywriter with a knack for wry humour and crafting words that stick. Together, they’ve tackled projects for top clients — most notably Samsung — mixing creativity, strategy, and a pinch of quirk. When they’re not creating magic, Andrew’s trail running in the leaves, and Nicole’s painting flowers.
Mikey Arthey & Poppy Cumming-Spain, House337
Pops and Mikey are a newly formed team. Having been friends for many years, good fortune struck when Pops was looking for a partner just as Mikey’s decided to leave for a new life in New Zealand.
Between them they’ve worked on everything from dating apps to vintage marketplaces, immersive arts spaces, recruiting prison officers and selling bread — not in that order.
Pops has a punchy sense of style, impeccable colour coordination skills and an amazing ability to burn toast. Mikey doesn’t. Once described as a young fogey by an old one, he came to advertising late and now doesn’t want to grow up.
